Description

Pointe du Hourdel is a cape in the Bay of the Somme, where the coast bends in a south-westerly direction. The lighthouse of Le Hourdel is located on the cape. Among the birds you can see here are Common Shelduck, Eurasian Curlew, Eurasian Spoonbill, Sandwich Tern, Grey Plover, Common Ringed Plover, Dunlin, Eurasian Oystercatcher and Common Redshank. The cape is also known because of the seals that can be well observed.
