Description

Reserve Naturelle des Marais de Tasdon/La Moulinette, a stone's throw from the ocean and the city of La Rochelle, offers a diversity of habitats for a large number of bird species. During the breeding season, many species nest in these marshes such as Black-winged Stilt , Avocet , Common Shelduck , Mallard , Gadwall , Mute Swan , Eurasian Coot , Little Grebe , Little Ringed Plover , or even the Little Egret. On the passerine side, we can find the Zitting Cisticola , Cetti's Warbler , European Serin or even European Turtle Dove. On the surrounding buildings, you can also see a small colony of House Martin and a few pairs of Common Swift.

In winter, a completely different atmosphere sets in. It is the turn of ducks, gulls and waders to take their place. These include Northern Shoveler , Gadwall , Common Teal , Greylag Goose , Water Rail , Great Cormorant , Grey Heron , Great Egret , Little Egret , Common Snipe , Common Sandpiper , Green Sandpiper , Common Greenshank , Common Redshank . The 6 species of Gulls are also present: Black-headed Gull , Mediterranean Gull , Common Gull , Herring Gull , Yellow-legged Gull , Lesser Black-backed Gull , Great Black-backed Gull. Other small species like the European Stonechat , White Wagtail , Common Kingfisher , Reed Bunting , Redwing.

During the migration period, one can encounter particularly interesting species, such as the Penduline Tit , Eurasian Siskin , Brambling , Hawfinch , Wood Lark. The Yellow-browed Warbler can be found in the bushes with Willow Warbler and Common Chiffchaff.

Français: Situés à 1,5 Km de l'océan, cette réserve naturelle composée de marais d'eaux douce et saumatre, de longues haies, de zones boisée et d'un étang. Cette reseve naturelle, à deux pas de l'océan et de la ville de La Rochelle offre une divesité d'habitats pour un grand nombre d'éspèces. Durant la période de reproduction, de très nombreuses éspèces nichent dans ces marais comme les Black-winged Stilt , Avocet , Common Shelduck , Mallard , Gadwall , Mute Swan , Eurasian Coot , Little Grebe , Little Ringed Plover , ou encore l'Little Egret. Du coté des passereaux, on peut retrouver les Zitting Cisticola , Cetti's Warbler , European Serin ou encore European Turtle Dove. Sur les batiments autour, on peut aussi observer une petite colonie d' House Martin et quelques couples de Common Swift.

En hiver, une toute autre ambiance s'installe. C'est au tour des antidés et limicoles de prendre place. On peut notament citer les Northern Shoveler , Gadwall , Common Teal , Greylag Goose , Water Rail , Great Cormorant , Grey Heron , Great Egret , Little Egret , Common Snipe , Common Sandpiper , Green Sandpiper , Common Greenshank , Common Redshank . Les 6 espèces de Laridés sont aussi présentes: Black-headed Gull , Mediterranean Gull , Common Gull , Herring Gull , Yellow-legged Gull , Lesser Black-backed Gull , Great Black-backed Gull . D'autres petites espèces comme le European Stonechat , White Wagtail , Common Kingfisher , Reed Bunting , Redwing.

Durant la période de migration, on peut rencontrer des espèces particulièrement intéressantes, comme la Penduline Tit , le Eurasian Siskin , le Brambling , le Hawfinch , l' Wood Lark.
