Description

Tannes de la Perrotine is a resting site for many birds which find the necessary tranquility there thanks to the regulated access. At low tide large mudflats appear where shorebirds, geese and egrets feed. Birds can be observed there by the hundreds or even by the thousands such as Grey Plover, Eurasian Oystercatcher, Brent Goose, Eurasian Curlew, Whimbrel, also Red-crested Pochard and Kentish Plover and many other waders, gulls, terns and shorebirds. At the Pointe de la Pérrotine (lighthouse), in winter and at high tide you can have the chance to see sea birds such as the Razorbill or Common Scoter.
