Description

Large prairie area near the village of Varennes-le-Grand where many species of grassland birds such as Eurasian Curlew, Whinchat, Corn Bunting and Western Yellow Wagtail are found. In these grasslands the Corn Crake is a regular breeder. During wet periods, the grasslands can become flooded, which attracts many migrating birds and waders.

Access via the village of Varennes-le-Grand, go to Rue des Camelins then take the motorable path which leads to the meadows.
