Description

Vieux Salins are old salt marshes that attract many birds. A trail for pedestrians and bicycles runs through the area. Among the birds you can encounter are Greater Flamingo, Common Shelduck, Yellow-legged Gull, Whimbrel and Eurasian Curlew. Rarities like Greater Yellowlegs are sometimes spotted.

Access

You have to go to the Village des Salins in Hyères. Park in the stadium car park. Click on the P in the map for directions. From the parking follow "Levée de Saint-Nicolas", a trail for pedestrians and bicycles in the heart of the Vieux Salins.
