Description

The beach itself is already worth to visit, as it is nearly natural and not touristy used. Anyway, there are always a few people around, especially in the summertime. From the dike of the "Spülfeld" above the beach you have a wonderful view on the Baltic sea, especially on the wind-dependent mudflats and on the "Kooser See", which is a shallow bay north of the area. In the summertime you can enjoy swimming after birding!

Nice birds like Greater Scaup, Bar-tailed Godwit and White-tailed Eagle can be seen here.

Access

You can reach the beach via the village Wampen, where you can park. There is a boom gate, limiting the access to the nearby field and the beach to pedestrians and cyclists. After the boom gate, you further follow the "Strandweg" over a field until you reach the dike of the "Spülfeld" and afterwards the beach.
