Description

The Hainberg is an open area, but also partly covered with forest. Bird watching here is most worthwhile in summer, when Red-backed Shrike, Golden Oriole, White-throated Dipper, Middle Spotted Woodpecker, Black Woodpecker, Common Redstart and Eurasian Wryneck can be seen. At the small pond and the river you can watch Common Kingfisher as well as geese, ducks and Great Cormorant in the forest. And of course other typical forest birds.
