Description

The Herrenteich attracts various waders (Little Ringed Plover, Common Greenshank, Spotted Redshank, Wood Sandpiper, Green Sandpiper, Common Snipe), especially during migration times. These birds are less common regionally. You can often see the Common Kingfisher, Grey Wagtail, Black Kite, Red Kite and various ducks and geese. From time to time Black Stork, Sparrowhawk, Eurasian Goshawk are flying over. Now and then, Osprey, Western Marsh Harrier, and Eurasian Hobby can also be seen.

The area can be seen from two sides and the footbridges can be walked on. One side of the lake is overgrown with trees. Another is covered with reeds.
