Description

Hiddensee is famous for its birdlife. Especially in autumn you can see thousands of different geese, ducks or birds of prey like White-tailed Eagle. Hiddensee is also famous for the amount of waders you can observe. For example Eurasian Curlew, but also many other species of waders. In the north of the island you have forests and dunes, in the middle and the south of the island you will find wetlands where you may see waders but also many of the ducks and geese. Also Hiddensee is an island which is car free, so you can only go by feet, with bike or by horse. Because of that there are no loud streets and you will find a big wilderness.
