Description

Various wetland-bound breeding and resting bird species can be observed in the Nidderauen von Stockheim. Among the birds you can encounter in the area are Sedge Warbler, Reed Warbler, Marsh Warbler, Western Marsh Harrier, Greylag Goose, Northern Lapwing, Common Snipe, Little Grebe and White Stork.

The area lies directly on the Vulkanradweg. By car, you can park east of Effolderbach at the sports field or west of Stockheim at the sewage treatment plant. Click on the P in the map to get directions.
