Description
The Oftersheim Dunes are a 48-hectare landscape and nature reserve. They are the largest inland dunes in Baden-Württemberg and were formed during the last Ice Age. The sandy areas provide a habitat for many highly specialized plants and animals. The area is particularly interesting from an ornithological perspective due to its open spaces, which is why many typical open-land species can be found here.
