Description

The Scheringteiche are located in a series of nature reserves along the river Lippe and the Datteln-Hamm Canal. The ponds and its surroundings are good for taking photos, because the birds are not so far away. There are many interesting birds you can see. In the birdlist below I inserted the observed birds of the last year (for example Great Egret, White Stork, Northern Shoveler, Northern Pintail, etc). But of course some of the birds only visit during migration, or during the breeding season, so the list is different for every visitor. The best time for a visit is the spring, summer and autumn.
