The Wutachschlucht is a narrow, steep-sided valley in the Black Forest in southern Germany. Great for hiking and nice to watch birds.

Description

The Wutachschlucht is a canyon that is part of the Schwarzwald (Black Forest). It is an ideal hiking area through old forests, along waterfalls and rock walls. With the river that is sometimes wild and sometimes nice and rippling. The gorge is 60 to 170 meters deep in various places. You can follow the river and see the best of this area. With more than 80 bird species in the area it is also good for birding.

Access

There are many places to park your car. A good place is in Boll at Wanderparkplatz Boll Wutachschlucht (See the P on the map). You can make a nice circular walk of 8,5 km (shown on the map).
