Description

More than 100 bird species have been seen in Levadi marsh . On one side this semi-flooded marsh area is bordered by the sea. A road to a quarry runs on one side along from the sea and on the other side the marsh is overlooked by a hillside. The small wetland attracts wading birds such as Little Egret, Great Egret, Squacco Heron and Common Teal. Also Common Kingfisher can be seen. The surrounding reeded pools, scrubland and fir trees also attract tits, finches, Western Marsh Harrier and Sardinian Warbler.
