Terryglass is a small delightful village with its own Harbour Quay on Lough Derg. Ireland's second largest lake on the Shannon Waterway.

Description

It is relatively flat undulating landscape with a few high vantage points to view across Lough Derg. White-tailed Eagle can be seen hunting and fishing, One nesting site can be viewed from a hide in Portumna Forest Park (als described on Birdingplaces) and another (on Private Land and not accessible to view) are within 5 km. Common Buzzard are common and many duck, geese and waterfowl in the harbour areas.

Ample car parking or Motorhome Parking. Two good bar restaurants in the village serving food 10am to 9pm. Toilets and shower facilities in the Harbour access by Card €7 in the Village Shop or online on Waterways Ireland web site.
