Description

A small lake where in winter you can see over 4,000 diving ducks, especially Tufted Duck and Common Pochard, but also Ferruginous Duck, Greater Scaup, Red-crested Pochard, Great Bittern, Caspian Gull. A few dabbling ducks are present too. A large roost of Great Cormorant is present and recently Pygmy Cormorant is often here.

In spring Purple Heron, Little Bittern and Great Cormorant usually breed here. Rose-ringed Parakeet is common too.

Rarities: Ring-necked Duck, Ruddy Duck, Smew, Long-tailed Duck, Tundra Bean Goose and Greater White-fronted Goose.

Access

It is not that easy to access the lake shore, but you can get there from the west side where there is an observation hide.
