One of the few natural wetlands in the Venetian plain, with pools of various depth up to 400 cm, with hygrophilous vegetation, riparian woods and meadows.

Description

Oasi San Daniele is a wintering site for a colony of Reed Bunting and dormitory for Song Thrush , Redwing and Fieldfare. You can see a large number of bird species, including Great Spotted Woodpecker , Eurasian Green Woodpecker , Eurasian Wryneck , European Stonechat , Brambling , Eurasian Nuthatch , Hawfinch , Eurasian Siskin , Common Raven , Mandarin Duck , European Turtle Dove , Eurasian Tree Sparrow , Eurasian Treecreeper, as well as amphibians and mammals such as the Lataste frogs, the green frogs, roe deers, hedgehogs.

Access

There is a parking area outside the oasis for cars and one for bicycles, access is allowed on foot (even for the disabled). During winter it is possible to book two photographic hides.
