Description

San Giuliano Park is a large urban park that overlooks the Venice lagoon. The park is one of the most biodiversity-rich areas of the Venetian lagoon environment, and excellent for observing birds. Good areas are the side of the lagoon and the two artificial ponds surrounded by reedbeds. Numerous species of birds lurk in the reeds. Among the birds you can see in the park and the surrounding are Common Shelduck, Garganey, Black-necked Grebe, Little Grebe, Pygmy Cormorant, Sacred Ibis, Reed Warbler and Great Reed Warbler.
