Description

Part of the area belongs to a public park, while the rest is private (and not well kept). Still, it is possible to walk all around the lake (around 45 minutes + birding stops). There is a roost of Cattle Egret, a feral small population of Canada Goose and recently some Pygmy Cormorant. In the last years, wintering birds have included Siskin, Reed Bunting, Dunnock and Penduline Tit. Other nice birds are Little Bittern, Common Kingfisher and Golden Oriole. During spring migration several passerine birds stop for a few days, including Lesser Whitethroat, Spotted Flycatcher and Pied Flycatcher. Rarities are possible (Collared flycatcher in 2018).

On sunny weekends a lot of people visit the area, so expect disturbance.
