Description

Reserva Natural des Iles is located in an area formerly occupied by a meander of the Dora Baltea. It is characterized by the presence of two quarry lakes with largely renaturalized banks. The southern area of the reserve is accessible. This makes it easy to observe water birds that are unusual in the region. The river offers an interesting refuge in winter. Among the birds you can see in the area are Little Bittern, White-throated Dipper, Eurasian Wryneck, European Bee-eater, Little Grebe, Common Kingfisher and Purple Heron.
