Description

The countryside around Sogna makes for an easy birding trip year-round, but particularly active in April and May when a nice variety of both migrant and resident birds are possible. The holm oak decidious forest has regrown since the earlier abandonment of agriculture in the last century and the route also includes agricultural areas, primarily in olive orchards. The gardens in and around the community of Sogna also host numerous species.
