The Griendplas is a small lake in the middle of an urban area that has a suprising amount of waders breeding in spring.

Description

The smal lake of Griendplas houses a reasonably large colony of Black-tailed Godwit, Avocet, Eurasian Spoonbill, but also some Common Greenshank, Spotted Redshank, Bluethroatand Cetti's Warbler.

Nederlands: De Griendplas is een meertje midden in een stedelijk gebied waar in het voorjaar verrassend veel steltlopers broeden. Het kleine meer herbergt een redelijk grote kolonie van Black-tailed Godwit, Avocet, Eurasian Spoonbill, maar ook enkele Common Greenshank, Spotted Redshank, Bluethroat en Cetti's Warbler.

Parking is not possible, so you have to get there on foot or by bike. The easiest way is to arrive by bike.
