Description

Many species of waders rest and forage in the shallows of Hisse- en Pikemar: Northern Lapwing, Black-tailed Godwit, Common Redshank, Ruff, Eurasian Curlew . On the water many kinds of ducks and in winter Pink-footed Goose, Barnacle Goose and many Greylag Goose throughout the year. During the migration period there are resting Caspian Tern. From the vantage point a good overview of the entire area with light from behind.

Nederlands: Hisse- en Pikemar zijn twee ondiepe meertjes met onderwater gezet weiland, riet en moeras tot aan de spoorlijn. In het ondiepe water rusten en foerageren vele soorten steltlopers: Northern Lapwing, Black-tailed Godwit, Common Redshank, Ruff, Eurasian Curlew. Op het water vele soorten eenden: Eurasian Wigeon, Gadwall, Common Teal en in de winter Pink-footed Goose, Barnacle Gooseen gehele jaar veel Greylag Goose. In de trektijd rusten er Caspian Tern. Vanuit het kijkpunt heb je een goed overzicht over het gehele gebied met licht achter je.

Access

From the road Heeg-Oudega, drive into a dead end road to the Putpleats. There P and then continue on foot. From the parking lot it is about 600 meters to walk to the bird watching point. Or by bike along the cycle path to the viewpoint.

Nederlands: Vanaf de weg Heeg-Oudega een doodlopende weg inrijden naar de Putpleats. Daar P en dan verder te voet. Vanaf de parkeerplaats is het ongeveer 600 meter lopen naar het vogelkijkpunt. Of op de fiets langs het fietspad naar kijkheuvel.
