Description

Fish ponds were dug near the Tongelreep. Carp and other fish species were bred here. But the fish farming is now a thing of the past and nature has taken over. For example, the rare Great Bittern and Little Bittern now breed in the area. A walking trail has been set out around one pond. Birders can view the bird life around the lake from behind a screen or from the bird watching hide.
