Description

Voorland Eén is located on the edge of the Western Scheldt, between the villages of Hoofdplaat and Nummer Een. In this small nature reserve there are dikes, hay land, meadows, a few small woods, reed land, drinking pools and there is a low part that is completely flooded in the spring. The area has a varied marsh and a bird island. At high tide, the birds come here to rest, wash their plumage and drink. Many birds also breed here.
