Description

The Jezioro Drużno lake is a Ramsar site. It consists of a shallow and largely overgrown lake in the Vistula Delta region near the Baltic coast, with surrounding wetlands, reedbeds and swampy alder forests. During summer, more than 140 bird species find refuge within the site. The Jezioro Drużno lake has a large concentration of waterfowl and you can see birds such as: Great Egret, Great Crested Grebe, Mallard, Mute Swan, Eurasian Coot,White Stork, Great Cormorant, Grey Heron, White-tailed Eagle, Common Kingfisher, Whiskered Tern.

Access

There is an observation tower located right on the lake in the place where the Dzierzgonka River flows into the lake. Click on the P in the map to get directions to the parking. The path to the tower (1 km) can be very muddy.
