Description

The fishponds between the villages Chișineu-Criș and Socodor are surrounded by salted pastures with a floodplain forest nearby. It is a suitable breeding habitat for several rare waterbird species and an important autumn and spring migration stopover site. Among the birds you can see here are: White-tailed Eagle, Great Bittern, Short-eared Owl, Black-crowned Night Heron, European Roller, Red-footed Falcon, Ferruginous Duck and Little Egret.
