Description

The small nature reserve of Can Cabanyes, with an area of 8 hectares, is a refuge for the bird fauna of the Congost River and also for the fauna that colonizes the wetland that has been built artificially. From the Center for Environmental Education of Can Cabanyes you can discover the area. Among the birds you can see here are Little Bittern, Black-winged Stilt, Crested Lark, Zitting Cisticola, Grey Wagtail, European Serin and Common Waxbill.

Espagnol: Un pequeño humedal con mucha vida. El Espai natural de Can Cabanyes, con una superficie de 8 hectáreas, está situado al sur del municipio de Granollers, entre la carretera de Montmeló y el margen derecho del río Congost. Constituye un refugio para la fauna de pájaros del río Congost y también para la fauna que coloniza el humedal que se ha construido de manera artificial.

Access

By car: from Barcelona we take the AP-7 motorway towards Girona and leave at exit 2: Parets, Vic, Puigcerda. We arrive at the C-17, and at 1 kilometer, we deviate on the right hand side by the C-35 direction Circuit de Catalunya. We leave towards Montmeló by the BV-5003 road, until we reach the entrance roundabout of Montmeló, in the industrial estate Can Gordi- Can Catalán, where we will turn 360o back where we have come in the opposite direction. About 250 meters away is the ground entrance which is the parking area next to the Farrs pallet factory.

From Can Cabanyes you can start a bike or walking tour by following the river path of the Congost River in the direction of Granollers or with the possibility of reaching Sant Adria del Besós.

Espagnol: En coche: desde Barcelona cogemos la autopista AP-7 dirección Girona y salimos en la salida 2: Parets, Vic, Puigcerdà. Llegamos a la C-17, y a 1 kilómetro, nos desviamos a mano derecha por la C-35 dirección Circuito de Cataluña. Salimos dirección Montmeló por la carretera BV-5003, hasta llegar a la rotonda de entrada de Montmeló, en el polígono industrial Can Gordi- Can Catalán, donde giraremos 360º volviendo por donde hemos venido en sentido contrario. A unos 250 metros está la entrada de tierra que es la zona de aparcamiento junto a la fábrica de palets Farrès.
