Description

The Castril river canyon is easy accessible from the town of Castril. The 2,2 km route goes down to the river from the town centre to the electric power station, carved into the rock of one of the slopes. The path consists of a footbridge over an old railway tucked into the rock wall. After the canyon you leave the river and walk between terraces and fields, where you can see different bird species. The last part of the route is the hardest, as it involves a gentle but continuous climb for about twenty minutes.
