Wetland in the final section of the Rambla de las Moreras. It is a gravel pit that receives water from the wastewater treatment plant and attracts many birds.

Description

Charcones de Las Moreras is a wetland near the coast that allows the observation of different species associated with aquatic environments and open areas. Among the birds you can see in the area are Stone-curlew, Yellow-legged Gull, White-headed Duck, Mallard, Northern Shoveler, Common Pochard, Black-crowned Night Heron, Squacco Heron, Reed Warbler, Great Reed Warbler, Cetti's Warbler, Bluethroat, Red-rumped Swallow, House Martin, Pallid Swift, Alpine Swift, Little Egret, Grey Heron, Common Teal, Little Grebe, Purple Swamphen, Black Redstartand Western Marsh Harrier. Espagnol: Ubicada en el tramo final de la rambla de las Moreras, se trata de una gravera que recibe agua depurada de la depurada de aguas residuales anexa. El humedal cercano a la rambla y a la costa permite la observación de diferentes especies asociadas a medios acuáticos y a zonas abiertas.

Access

It is accessed from the road that connects the town of Mazarrón with the coastal urban center of Bolnuevo. On this road in the Bolnuevo direction, you have to take a detour to the right that is signposted with a sign for access to the EDAR (wastewater treatment plant), you pass under a bridge and the treatment plant facilities will immediately appear in front of you. and following the road to the right a few meters from the treatment plant, you can park in front of the old gravel pit where the lagoon is located.

Espagnol: Se accede desde la carretera que une la población de Mazarrón con el núcleo urbano costero de Bolnuevo. En esta carretera en sentido Bolnuevo hay que tomar un desvío a la derecha que está señalizado con un cartel de acceso al EDAR (estación depuradora de aguas residuales), se pasa por debajo de un puente y enseguida nos aparecerá de frente las instalaciones de la depuradora y siguiendo la carretera hacia la derecha a pocos metros de la depuradora se puede aparcar frente a la antigua gravera donde se encuentra la laguna.
