Lagoa de Baldaio is connected directly to the Atlantic Ocean. The lagoon is a mix of fresh and salt water, creating a fertile marshland where a multitude and diversity of birds can be observed, especially during migration and wintering. From September to May, when the tide begins to recede, you can observe Veliki Pozviždač, Prugasti Pozviždač, Crnorepa Muljača, Oštrigar and Žličarka. And facing the beach it's not uncommon to spot Dugokljuna Čigra, Bluna, Sjeverni plijenor or Balearska gregula.

Access
Lagoa de Baldaio is located 25 km west of A Coruña on the Atlantic coast. You can arrive via the DP-1909 road, towards Baldaio beach. Accommodation options include Camping Los Delfines or Camping Baldaio. Parking is easy and very close to the lagoon.
