Description

The wetland of Lagunas de El Raso de Portillo is made up of two lagoons that maintain water throughout the year. This allows the existence of several species of water birds, whose diversity increases during the winter months and during migratory passages. The usually most numerous species are Little Grebe and Eurasian Coot, with a few breeding pairs. Depending on the time of year, various species of ducks such as Mallard, Northern Shoveler or Gadwall, waders such as Common Snipe, Little Ringed Plover, Common Ringed Plover and Black-winged Stilt or passerines such as Bluethroat or Reed Bunting. The Western Marsh Harrieris common. In the surrounding crops it is not difficult to observe Great Bustard and with a bit of luck you can see a Spanish Eagle.

Espagnol: Pequeña zona húmeda recuperada tras su desecación en el siglo XIX, situada en un ambiente cerealista. El humedal está compuesto por dos lagunas que mantienen agua durante todo el año. Esto permite la existencia de varias especies de aves acuáticas, cuya diversidad aumenta los meses de invernada y durante los pasos migratorios. Las especies habitualmente más numerosas son el Little Grebe y la Eurasian Coot, con unas cuantas parejas reproductoras. Según la época del año pueden verse varias especies de anátidas como Mallard , Northern Shoveler o Gadwall , limícolas como Common Snipe, Little Ringed Plover, Common Ringed Plover y Black-winged Stilt o paseriformes como Bluethroat o Reed Bunting. El Western Marsh Harrieres habitual. En los cultivos del entorno no es dificil observar Great Bustard y con un poco de suerte puede dejarse ver algún ejemplar de Spanish Eagle.

Access

Located about 2 km from La Pedraja de Portillo, a town from which the wetland is accessed by following the signs on the road at the entrance to the town. The path leads to a parking lot where you can leave your car and from which several trails start that lead to the observatories from which you can observe the lagoons.

Espagnol: Situado a unos 2 Km de La Pedraja de Portillo, pueblo desde el que se accede al humedal siguiendo la señalización situada en la carretera a la entrada del pueblo. El camino lleva a un aparcamiento donde dejar el coche y desde el que parten varios senderos que llevan a los observatorios desde los que observar las lagunas.
