Description

Close to Madrid the river Manzanares runs through the Mediterranean forest of El Pardo. The path along the river is good for easy birding and you have a chance to see Common Kingfisher. Other birds you can see here are Egyptian Goose, Mute Swan, Ruddy Shelduck, Gadwall, Mallard, Little Grebe, Water Rail, Eurasian Coot, Great Cormorant, Little Bittern, Grey Heron, Little Egret, Golden Oriole and Eurasian Blue Tit.
