Description

Adventuring into the Pyrenees mountains in the northeastern corner of Spain gives the traveler many great opportunities for birding. The sloping and dramatic topography of the region means that many species are endemic to the area – here in the Pyrenees and here alone. One of the great areas is the Natural Park of Posets-Maladeta. Among the birds you can see here are: Wallcreeper, Bearded Vulture, Short-toed Snake Eagle, Golden Eagle, Citril Finch, Barn Owl, Crested Tit, Eurasian Bullfinch, Red-billed Chough, White-winged Snowfinch, Eurasian Nuthatch, Water Pipit, Red-backed Shrike and Griffon Vulture.
