Description

Punta del Cavall is in the heart of Cap de Salou, but outside the summer season you can feel alone watching the Mediterranean. If you like plants, here you also have a community of interest in the EU with Limonium gibertii as the main exponent. It is an endemic plant of the Catalan Countries. The "Camí de Ronda" reaches north to the Salou Lighthouse, another good place to observe, even more spectacular. The best time for the sun is in the afternoon, as in the morning it will be harder for you to look out to sea. However on a working day the fishing ports of Cambrils and Tarragona act as a magnet for the birds, so perhaps Saturday or Sunday afternoon are the best option. Among the birds you could see here are Northern Gannet, Cory's Shearwater, Balearic Shearwater, Yelkouan Shearwater and European Shag.
