Description

Rambla Salada (Cañada Hermosa) is an open space that combines the riverbed with salting areas and with the facilities of the Cañada Hermosa landfill that is very close and that attracts a large number of birds that come to feed each day. What makes it possible to see a good number of different species. Among the birds you can see are European Bee-eater, Booted Eagle, Iberian Grey Shrike, Woodchat Shrike, Red-rumped Swallow, Little Owl, European Stonechat, Stone-curlew and Black Wheatear.

Espagnol: Cauce de rambla, es un importante corredor ecológico de 27 kilómetros que une Sierra Espuña con el río Segura. Es un espacio abierto que combina el cauce de rambla con zonas de saladar y con las instalaciones del vertedero de Cañada Hermosa que se encuentra muy próximo y que atrae una gran cantidad de aves que llegan para alimentarse cada día. Lo que posibilita ver un buen número de especies distintas.

Access

The area is accessed by the northwest highway, exit 4, the exit of the highway that allows access to the Cañada Hermosa landfill. You can park in the immediate vicinity of the entrance to the landfill. The walk is done on foot following the riverbed of the rambla.

Espagnol: Se accede por la autovía del noroeste, salida 4, la salida de la autovía que permite acceder al vertedero de Cañada Hermosa. Se estaciona en las inmediaciones de la entrada al vertedero. El recorrido se realiza a pie siguiendo el cauce de la rambla.
