Description

Nygårdsängen nature reserve is an easy accessible wetland near the city of Vänersborg. Every year the reeds are cut in the large pond so that it will stay a good environment for birds. Nygårdsängen is worth a visit all year round. Among the nice birds you can see here are Water Rail, Spotted Crake, Reed Bunting, Common Goldeneye and Common Snipe.

Park at Quality Hotel and walk under the Gropbron. Alternatively, cycle from the center of Vänersborg.
