Description

Västerstadsviken is a great place for birding. Next to the large numbers of migrating birds, also many wetland species breed here, including Gadwall, Avocet and Little Tern. During autumn and spring, large numbers of resting waders can be seen in the bay. Seeing about twenty wading bird species and three to four species of terns is not uncommon. Broad-billed Sandpiper and Red-necked Phalarope occur regularly.
