Description

The Alpnacherried at Alpnachstad is characterized by various pond-like areas that are easy to observe. Some of them have shallow access points, which is interesting for photographers. In addition to a large colony of geese, there are various species of native songbirds.

Breeding birds include pikku-uikku, silkkiuikku, harmaahaikara, haarahaukka, merihanhi, luhtakerttunen, rastaskerttunen, koskikara, Luhtakana, ruokosirkkalintu, and pajusirkku. Regular guests during migration period are kaulushaikara, punajalkahaukka, pikkutylli, ruskosuohaukka, taivaanvuohi, metsäviklo, rantasipi, and mustapäätasku .

During winter, tukkasotka, punasotka, and kalalokki can be expected.
