Description

A scenic combination of mountain pass, cliffs, and alpine meadows, the Pas de Maimbre is an excellent location to observe typical alpine species such as the čavka žltozobá and čavka červenozobá up close. It is also home to the bradáň žltohlavý, which, with a bit of patience, can often be seen in all its majestic beauty. Common species here include ľabtuška vrchovská, krkavec čierny, snehárka vrchovská, and skaliarik sivý. Sometimes sup bielohlavý are observed; these are immature individuals from a population in Southern Europe that spend the summer in Switzerland. With a bit of luck, observations of murárik červenokrídly, pŕhľaviar červenkastý, sokol sťahovavý, orol skalný, and stehlík citrónový are possible.
