Description

The fields near the village of Rodersdorf are very natural with many hedges and fallow areas in which Greater Whitethroat, Red-backed Shrike, and Whinchat breed. Part of the area is a small nature reserve where Great Reed Warbler and other reed inhabitants can be found. Breeding at the church are Jackdaw. In autumn, many birds of prey such as Osprey, Montagu's Harrier, Western Marsh Harrier, Hen Harrier and European Honey-buzzard pass through. In addition, Black Stork move across the area every year. It is also one of the best Western Yellow Wagtail spots in the region.
