The island Werdinsel in the river Limmat in Zurich is a relaxing place for birdwatchers. The area attracts various bird species because there is plenty of water, trees and dense bushes. Especially in late autumn and winter. In addition to Wilde Eend, Blauwe Reiger, Meerkoet and Grote Zaagbek, IJsvogel can also be observed. On the island there are small paths along the water and a few benches where you can observe in peace. You can easily get there on foot or by bike.
