Description
Bang Pu Recreational Centre is a popular attraction situated near the coast of the Gulf of Thailand. The centre features a long pier which extends into the sea, mangrove boardwalks, nature trails and birdwatching platforms. Over 200 bird species have been recorded in the area. A nice place for birding, particularly from October to April when shorebirds and rare migrants can be observed. Apart from many species of birds you can spot water monitors and mudskippers.

Though Bang Pu Recreational Centre is managed by the Royal Thai Army, the centre is open to the public free of charge and offers a tranquil blend of nature, recreation, and cultural charm. It’s easily accessible by car, taxi or public transport via the BTS Kheha station, making it a convenient day trip from Bangkok.
