The area round the village of Akdoğan is a beautiful place where rare species can be seen. Especially in autumn, buntings like Cia, Escrevedeira-amarela, Escrevedeira de Gmelin frequent this spot. The birds are usually on the ground or in the fields. Look for areas with a lot of movement. Rare species are often found among large flocks.
In addition, birds of prey pass through here. Abutre-preto, Águia-real, Gavião da Europa and Gavião-de-pé-curto can all be observed.

The village if Akdoğan is located 70 km north of Ankara. You can easily reach this place by your own car. It’s a bit far from the city, but it’s definitely worth the trip. Being there at sunrise will increase your chances.
