Çelebibağı Marshes has different habitats that attract many bird species. The landscape is unique with vast mud flats in the Lake Van closed basin. Shorebirds and other water birds are abundant and the diversity of birds is impressive. Among the birds you can observe in the area are Casarca, Fenicottero, Porciglione, Gru, Marzaiola, Cavaliere d'Italia, Avocetta, Corriere grosso, Falco di palude, Biancone, Poiana codabianca, Pendolino, Gruccione, Ghiandaia marina, but also rare birds like Cigno selvatico, Cigno minore, Falaropo beccosottile and many more.
