Description
İron Marshes is located in the western part of Mount Nemrut which is an extinct volcano. During the winter, it is a foggy area where you can see hot water springs in the center of these marshes. Reed beds, hot water springs, small lakes, streams, bushes, hills, and scattered trees are there. Trane and Savisanger can be seen in the area. On the other hand, the flat landscape is available to do observation from the top of the hills around the plain. It is also possible to see the Stortrappe in the western part of the area where Muş Plain starts to stretch towards the west.

Access
Best option to explore the İron Marshes area is by car. During the winter it can be slippery on the unpaved roads. Zoom in and click on a P in the map for directions or coordinates.
