Beskrivning
Lake Kaz is an area of gardens, wetland habitats, orchards, rocky hills, bushes and many other habitats. All these various habitat types make the area rich in terms of birds and wildlife. There is a subspecies of Trana which can be seen in Anatolia and a few neighboring countries. This subspecies (Grus grus archibaldi) is rare and vulnerable. Grus grus archibaldi differs from the nominate subspecies by the nearly completely black head plate (red in Grus g. grus) and the light yellow eyes (red, orange or yellow in Grus g. grus). Also, there is balkanhök which can be seen in the gardens. It is not a difficult place to explore. Best time for a visit is spring and spring migration.
