Description
If you are in the general area and have the time, this is a nice spot to just sit and watch or take photos from the car or a hide. The scrub and forest patches on the hills are also waiting for you to take a walk. The central spot here is a small spring, where all birds from the dry surrounding hills and mountains come to drink. You can see some turkish highlights, like Hvitstrupenattergal, Rosenvingefink and Rødpanneirisk here, as well as numerous other species. There are usually lots of Hortulan, Hærfugl and Steinspurv. On the way up and in surrounding forests you can see / hear Furusanger, Mountain Chiffchaff (Caucasian) and Sultansanger. Beware that this remote area is bear country. No kidding with them, keep your distance and DO NOT ENTER DENSE THICKETS OR FORESTS.

Access
This is a remote place. To get here, drive to Caglayan, pass the waterfall and continue upward to the tiny village Kalecik. Turn right (west) in the village on a bad track, or walk (approx. 1.5 hr). The track is difficult, high ground clearance is essential, 4WD is recommended and certainly required after rains.

Kalecik is located in an exceptionally beautiful scenery. Continue south in the village, instead of west, and you will get to one of the nicest picnic places ever. Lots of birds there, too.
