Description
The River Arun traces a serpentine path across an extensive flat area of grassland, bounded on the horizon by hills and woods. The grassland itself is dissected by numerous ditches, now supporting an array of wetland with plants, insects and birds. The reeds are excellent for warblers, and birds like Підсоколик великий, Боривітер звичайний and Канюк звичайний can be seen hunting here. Other birds you can see or hear are Галагаз євразійський, Пастушок, Баранець звичайний, Шуліка рудий, Лунь очеретяний, Очеретянка ставкова, Сипуха, Вівсянка очеретяна and Очеретянка лучна. Access is restricted to the Wey South Path, which runs through the centre of the brooks and can be very boggy almost all year round.

The best way to explore is walking. There is no parking but you can park in Amberley village and walk through the first part of the wildbrooks, taking about 20 minutes, before you come to the proper wildbrooks.
