Description
Baston Fen LWT Reserve is a long tract of permanent pasture, which is flooded in winter and attracts large numbers of wildfowl. Baston Fen is interesting because the site has so much wildlife in such a small space (especially in winter). If you are a waterfowl enthusiast this is the place for you, with lots of different species easily viewed from a walk along the dyke. Waders can be prominent here also. Among the birds you can encounter are Énekes hattyú, Aranylile, Kakukk, Nádi sármány, vörös fogoly, Kis sárszalonka, Csigaforgató, Kanalas réce, cserregő nádiposzáta, Bíbic and Barna rétihéja.
